1 year, 5 months ago by Jeff.
Google Real-Time Search is a new feature by Google which was introduced in December 7, 2009 which aims to make it easier for Internet users to find updated information about a specific search query throughout the World Wide Web. Most of its information comes from different Internet sources including Twitter, Yahoo! Answers, Blogs, and Facebook status, which was only recently introduced later this year.
Real-time search first became popular when Twitter introduced their unique search engine algorithm. Compared to search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, or Bing, Twitter’s search engine algorithm focuses mainly on new posts, allowing searchers to find fresh and up-to-date information within the whole Twitter community.
Because of the success of Twitter’s own search engine, particularly with the convenience it gave to its users, Google decided to use the same approach in their new search engine to offer visitors near-instant updates on specific information they are looking for, which is now called as Google Real-Time Search.
According to our SEO Philippines Insiders, because of the idea of Real-Time search engines, the possibility of a new type or branch of SEO which would deal in real time search is evident, particularly now that Microsoft’s Bing have recently signed a contract with Twitter and Facebook which allowed them to utilize its search engine algorithm to offer real-time information similar with Google Real-Time.
